PROGRAM PRICE: $4,350
If registration (with a deposit of $300) is received by December 15, 2007, a $100 discount will be applied to the program price after all payments have been received on time.

- Four weeks of instruction in French at the École France Langue Institute (20 hours per week: 4 hours per day instruction / 5 days a week at the Institute).

École France Langue, where classes are held, is an accredited and highly-qualified language institute. Instructors have university degrees and many years of teaching experience. Classes are kept small to create a better learning environment. The school is located in the 16th arrondissement, near the Champs-Elysées and the Eiffel Tower. |

Prof. Marie-Laure Hinton
|
Marie-Laure Hinton was born and raised in France. In 1997, she received a B.S. in General Physics from CSU Dominguez Hills, a Masters in French Literature in 1998 and a B.A. in Spanish and Linguistics both with highest honors from CSU Long Beach in 1999. She is completing her Ph.D. at UCLA’s French and Francophone Studies Department. Her dissertation entitled Emile Zola photographe focuses on nineteenth century French literature and photography.
Professor Hinton has been the recipient of prestigious awards and scholarships based on her commitment and dedication to academic excellence. At CSU Long Beach, she was nominated Distinguished Graduate Student and received a Certificate of Excellence Through High Scholastic Achievement from the College of Liberal Arts. She was also a Merit Scholar at CSU Dominguez Hills for the Los Angeles Collaboration for Teacher Excellence and was awarded a Graduate Scholarship from UCLA in 2003. She belongs to the National French Honor Society and the American Association of Teachers of French. She received an Outstanding Teacher’s Award at Long Beach City College in 2006.
Prof. Hinton has extensive teaching experience in universities and community colleges in Southern California and was part of the UCLA Study Abroad Program in Paris in 2001. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Friends of Languages at Long Beach City College. |
