Dr. Sheng-Tai Chang |
Sheng-Tai Chang received his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and M.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures from the University of Southern California (USC). He also holds an M.A. in English from the University of Calgary in Canada. He was born and raised in Shanghai and went to East China Normal University before he came to North America for graduate studies. In addition to teaching English classes, he has devoted himself to developing LBCC’s Chinese program.
The Study Abroad Program in China in summer 2009 is the first such program offered by LBCC that allows students to study Chinese language or Chinese literature in translation in a Chinese cultural environment and to enhance their learning experience through a “grand tour” of China. Dr. Chang is thrilled to be able to lead the program and share his experience and insight as a scholar in East-West literary relations and as a native of the city that students will call “home” for a month. |
